Douglas Levenick
August 31, 1940 – August 31, 2018
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Doug Levenick, August 31, 2018 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.
Doug was born August 31, 1940 in Winnipeg Manitoba. In 1963, he married Bev and together they moved for work related reasons to Yorkton, Abbotsford, Calgary, and Medicine Hat. In 1974 they were transferred to Dryden where he found his niche. He was finally able to enjoy hunting and fishing at his doorstep. A lifelong desire of becoming a pilot and a partnership in a plane fulfilled his dream. Doug joined the Kinsmen club and made many lifelong friends that shared his passions and desire to service the community.
Doug is survived by his wife Bev, daughters Kristine (Greg) and Jennifer; grandsons Matthew and Ryley. He was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Nellie, sister Carole and brother Bruce.
Cremation has taken place. Interment of Ashes will take place in the spring. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Stevens Funeral Homes P.O. Box 412 Dryden ON P8N 2Z1. Condolences may be posted at www.stevensfuneralhomes.ca
