Obituary of Dorothy Nunn
NUNN, Dorothy Jean- (nee Dodridge, formerly Crocker) passed away Wednesday June 13th, 2018 at the age of 93. Jean had been a resident of Woodlands of Sunset in Welland for several years.
On November 21, 1924, Jean was born into a loving, farming family. Her parents were Luella and Robert Dodridge. She had a sister Muriel (Lamontagne), a brother Don (Marjorie) and a younger brother Ross (Marie). Jean was predeceased by her sister Muriel and her parents. Jean leaves behind several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Jean worked at the Canadian General Electric of Dufferin Street, in Toronto for many years, as an assembler.
Jean was married to Don Nunn for almost 20 years until his passing in 2006. She was step-mother to Patti (Wayne) Gray, Bill (Noreen) Nunn, Heather Nunn (Laurie Eisner) and Donna (Dave) Monie. Jean had 10 step-grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Jean loved her family very much but sometimes we wondered if she loved birds and animals more. She loved bird watching and playing with an animal, wild or tame. Over the years she had many pets.
She will be missed by many.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the DAVIDSON FUNERAL CHAPEL 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne with Rev. Donna Howlett officiating. Interment to follow in Morgan’s Point Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations made to the Alzheimer Society or the Welland and District Humane Society would be appreciated.
