It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Marche (nee Bungay) announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on November 10th, 2018.
Dorothy was born in Lourdes on January 14th, 1939 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 79.
She will be deeply missed by her nine children: Wayne (Margaret), Doreen (Abbie), Sean (Susan), Wendy (Sam), Helen (Larkin), Tim (Leah), Lisa, Pat and Cherie (Scott)
Her fourteen grandchildren: Joliah, Erin, Tammy, Amy, Jillian, Tracey, Jennifer, Andrea, Samantha, Kristen, Christopher, Cody, MJ and Brady will forever cherish the memories of baking, knitting, sewing, receiving quilts she made for them, picking berries, helping in the garden and enjoying her many delicious meals and desserts.
Dorothy was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren: Jaedan, Jaidah, Brooke, Cale, Beth, Blake, Finn, Bria, Lee, Caoilainn, Dominic and Abbott who will always be reminded of what a special part of her life they were.
Her brother Ben, sisters; Marjorie, Marion, Joyce, Mavis, Melvina, Wanda and dearest friends Mary and Greg White will sadly miss her.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Dennis, mother Martha, father Thomas, sister Susie and her son-in-law Graham.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers at the difficult time.
A special thank you to Dr. Lamswood and staff at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their compassion and support and to her granddaughter Tammy Scott for her care and compassion.
Visitation will take place on Monday November 12th from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday November 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday November 14th at 10am from Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Campbell’s Creek.
In memory of Dorothy, flowers graciously accepted or donations to the Campbell’s Creek Cemetery will also be graciously accepted.
