DOROTHY JOYCE JONES
Joyce passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital, on July 9, 2018 at the age of 92. Daughter of Cyril and Angela (Hogg) Harmer. She is lovingly remembered by her son David Jones (Lynda) of Woodstock and daughter Amanda Gauler of Exeter, her 7 grandchildren; Stephanie, Chris, Jeff, Jason, Andrea, Katie, Matthew and their spouses and her 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis in May of 1995, their twin sons in infancy, her brother Robert “Bob” Harmer (Lorraine), her sister Elizabeth “Betty” White and her son-in-law Bernie Gauler. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, including Bruce Harmer of Port Franks, Terry Blackman (Diana) of Florida and dear friend Marion Davis of Stratford. Joyce was employed at Bell Canada for 21 years before her retirement in 1987, enjoying many years with her husband prior to his passing. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 9 Douro Street Stratford, on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11 am. The family invites friends to share memories of Joyce in the reception hall following the service.
