Dorothy Jean Bechard
July 16, 1926 – November 9, 2018
BECHARD, Dorothy Jean (Retired R.N. Peterborough Civic Hospital) – At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday November 9, 2018 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Roy Bechard. Loving mother of Richard Bechard, Karen and her husband Dave Boissoin and Denise and her husband Glenn Davis. Dear grandmother of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Edith Roffey. Predeceased by her brothers William Roffey and his wife Marion and Edwin Roffey, and Stuart Roffey. Also predeceased by sister Lulu and her husband Alec.
She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born and raised in the Renfrew area and later relocated to Peterborough where she enjoyed a 25 year career as a Registered Nurse retiring from the Peterborough Civic Hospital. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 12:00 pm with visitation prior to the service from 10:45 am until 11:45 am. A luncheon will follow the service in the reception room. Memorial donations if desired may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
