Dorothy Florence Gordon
GORDON, Dorothy Florence (Nee Andrews) 96, passed away August 25, 2018 at the Oceanview Continuing Care Center in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. Dorothy was the daughter of Albert and May (Flowerday) Andrews. Dorothy is survived by her son; Stewart Phillip Gordon (Sharon) and daughter; Karen Joy Thomson (Wayne); 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, her brother; Edward Andrews, and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Stewart Edwin Gordon, sons Brian Edwin Gordon and John Albert Gordon, brothers Clinton Andrews, Leonard Andrews, Frank Andrews, and Ralph Andrews.
Visitation will be on Friday August 31, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2 PM with a funeral service to follow immediately at 2pm with Rev James Haughn officiating all to take place at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Burial will take place at Atlantic Gardens.
The family would like this opportunity to thank all of the staff at Oceanview who took such loving care of her during her last weeks, and a special thank you to Brenda McIsaac, Continuing Care Coordinator for the NSHA and Amanda Tinning, Nurse Practitioner, for the Heart Clinic. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
