Doris Winchell passed away on September 7, 2018 at the age of 96 in Spirit River, AB.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Bob (Martha) of Red Deer AB, Keith (Elsie) of Rocky Mountain House AB, Wayne (Ruth) of Nanaimo BC, and Shirley (Cliff) of Spirit River AB; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Lillico of Spirit River AB, Joyce Buchinski of Rycroft AB and brother: Wallace Cook of Grande Prairie AB; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Doris was pre-deceased by her husband Nirum in 1999, her parents: Ester and Gilbert Cook, brother: Bill Cook, brothers-in-law: Grant Lillico and Frank Buchinski.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her wonderful long life will be held on Sept 13, 2018 at the Spirit of Peace United Church at Spirit River AB at 1:30 PM.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Spirit River Museum, the Pleasant View Lodge in Spirit River or a charity of choice.
