Peacefully on May 20, 2018, Doris (Mom) passed away after an eight plus year struggle with PSP – Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, at De Salaberry District Health Centre, St. Pierre, MB.
Doris survived by her partner of 40 years, Jane Leuzinger; her children: Diana (Jeff) Martinson, Kerry (Helen) Martinson, Dawn (Barb) Martinson, Dolores (Dan) Causton; grandchildren: Tyler, Keith (Sarah), Kristin (Buddy) Martinson, Joe (Brieanne), Matt Causton; great-grandkids: Kylie and Kayla St. Lawrence, Olivia and Ethan Causton; her brother Ray (Lorraine) Machan, Jeff, June, Jordie and their families; and very special friends David and Rita Wiebe.
Doris loved her family and friends and hosting many a good party over the years. Animals were her soft spot as she took in many. Traveling was a highlight with trips across Canada, Arizona and being at English Lake.
Special thanks to home care for making it possible for her to remain at home until the last five weeks, to Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach and the excellent staff at De Salaberry District Health Centre.
At Doris’ request no formal service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date.
No flowers please.

When I am gone, release me. Let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy, we had so many years.
I gave you my love and you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it’s time I traveled alone.

It’s only for a while that we must part
So bless those memories in your heart.

Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near
