Donna Marie Morris
onna Marie (Nee Miller) 85, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018 at Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Born May 1, 1933, in Central Chebogue, Donna was the daughter of Donald and Muriel (Reeves) Miller. For many years, she was an active member of the UCW as well as a Wolf Cub leader at St. James United Church, Dartmouth. She also managed to juggle home life around shifts at Morris Drug Store, the family business. She was a devoted wife of 64 years and loving mother and grandmother who also took great enjoyment from the company of her sisters. She was very creative and taught us to use our imaginations, to appreciate family and, most of all, to laugh in the face of adversity. Her enthusiasm for life and fun is providing us with many amusing memories and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Donna is survived by her husband William Morris, daughters Linda Morris (Stephen Fox) and Debbie Morris (Mike Sheane), son Paul Morris (Sheila), grandchildren Sarah, Ian, David and Jennifer, sisters Charlotte Jordan and Meredith Keddy, and many nieces and nephews. Donna is predeceased by her sisters Muriel Clarke, Patricia MacNeil and Harriet Callahan.
