With love and loss our family announces the passing of Donna Lynne Fleming, 73, of Edmonton Alberta on October 25, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family at Foyer Lacombe Hospice in St. Albert, Alberta. Born July 9, 1945 she was predeceased by her father Wray Morrison and brothers, Barry and Richard Morrison.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence Fleming, children; George (Chris) Fleming, Gordon (Shannon) Fleming, Grace (Bill) Knight, Ilene (Masood Makarechian) Fleming, 6 grandchildren, her mother Eileen Morrison, sisters; Barb Bergfeldt, Linda (Wayne) Thompson, Pat (Jack) Reeve, Catherine (Keith) Harper, Sandra Morrison, Valerie (Ken) Elder, and brother Wray (Susan) Morrison.
Donna was married to Lawrence for 53 years and for most of that time they lived and raised their four children in Bon Accord, Alberta. Donna worked various jobs, but was most proud of her work at the local IGA as a meat cutter. She loved to garden and enjoyed time with her friends and neighbors. Donna was immensely proud of her family and her favorite activity was to spend time with her grandchildren. She always said she would try anything once and had great appreciation for having fun with friends and family. Donna loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh. She enjoyed board games, music and putting puzzles together.
There will be a Celebration of Donna’s Life on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Northmount Community Center, 9208 140 Avenue N/W, Edmonton, Alberta, with Pastor Darrell Dalby Officiating.
Cremation has taken place. A private Internment will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the amazing staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, ENT Unit at the U of A Hospital, and Foyer Lacombe/Covenant Care.
We’d also like to thank our family and friends; their support and kind wishes are greatly appreciated.
