Donald Smyth 1930-2018
Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Shaver Hospital in his 89th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty Lou (nee Wedlake) in 1995. Dear father of Donald Jr. and cherished grandfather of Donnie. He will be sadly missed by his brother Frank and sister Maisie. Predeceased by brother Walter and sister Helen. Donald grew up in Welland and worked for Hayes Dana in Thorold until retiring in 1995. Family and friends will be welcomed at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Tuesday August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to honour Don’s life will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 8th beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
