O’NEIL, Donald David
Of Peterborough passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday May 5th, 2018 after more than 40 years in radio broadcast management, including 20 years as program director at CHEX Radio. Dear Husband of the late Mrs. Helen “Bunny” O’Neil for 62 years. Don will be missed by his children Steve O’Neil (Marianne Pfleger) of London, Kerry (d.1999 Greg) Gibson of Courtice, and Jeff (Melody) O’Neil of Calgary. Dear Grandfather of Ben and Sam O’Neil, Kristy (Chris) Cleland and Jaclyn Gibson, and Kylie and Grace O’Neil. Brother-In-Law of Lesley O’Neil of Peterborough. Predeceased by parents Patrick “Paddy” and Edna O’Neil of North Bay, sister Peggy McKay of Port Hope, and brother Hal O’Neil of Edmonton. Don was a Charter Member and Retired Elder at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, a long-standing member of Dunlop Masonic Lodge, a long-time member of the Peterborough Curling Club, an active volunteer with Community Care- Peterborough, and served in numerous community service associations. Visitation will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home (840 Armour Road) Thursday May 10th, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:30 – 8:30 PM in the Chapel.
