After a courageous and swift battle with cancer, Don Reynolds passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
Don leaves behind his wife of 26 years and soulmate Pauline Reynolds, three beautiful daughters who brought him so much joy and pride: Kerry, Heidi and Amanda Reynolds, six grandchildren: McCahl, Meadow, Isys, Xander, Sadie and Brooklyn, his brother Victor, and nieces and nephews and our furry and feathered family.
Don worked as a Certified Orthotist retiring from the Rehabilitation Centre for Children in 2016 where he had worked for the last 22 years of his career. He improved the mobility of countless children and adults living with disabilities.
Don enjoyed fishing, camping, his summers at Nestor Falls Ontario and winter vacations in Mexico where he could escape Manitoba winters for a short time. Whether playing poker with friends or yahtzee at the cabin with the kids Don had an infectious laugh and never let the truth get in the way of a good story. He loved movies, making WW11 models and was always quick to help anyone in need.
As per his request cremation has taken place and a family celebration of life will occur at a later date.
Our family thanks the staff at the DeSalaberry & District Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and Bethesda Regional Health Centre. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bergen for his compassion and connection with Don in his last days.
