Born in Fort William (Thunderbay) Ontario, Don served in the Canadian Army from 1959 to 1964.
Being the adventurer that he was, he took up skydiving where he made many lifelong friendships. Along the way he connected with a bunch of fun-loving Frenchmen who convinced him to move to Montreal. Don enjoyed many sports including skiing and motocross racing. His love of hockey kept him in shape until he was well into his 70′. He loved boats whether it was sailing, paddling, building or fixing them. In Montreal he began a 45 year career in the movie industry. In 1988 he moved his family to BC and retired from the movie industry in 2007.
He leaves behind, his wife of 47 years – Michelle, and his sons Jason & Derek.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held January 29th at 2:00 PM at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt.
In lieu of flowers – donations can be made to the Sechelt Hospital Foundation in Don Saari’s memory, « All gifts will be directed to support Home Care Services
