Obituary for
Dianne Wilson
Peacefully, at her residence in Port Elgin, Ontario, Dianne Phyllis (née Burns) Wilson passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. In her 70 years among us, Dianne lived her life with love for family, a kind and generous heart and a witty sense of humour that initiated smiles in all who knew her. A lively game of bingo, time spent cooking or enjoying the adventures that accompany travel were among Dianne’s favourite pastimes.
Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her sons Bill Wilson of Port Elgin and Tim (Kristen) Wilson, of Ottawa and her grandsons Grant and Bryce Wilson. Fond memories of Dianne remain with her siblings and siblings-in-law Bob (Sandy Blackman) Burns, Carol Wissel, Roy Brown, Betty Burns, Anne MacLean and members of the Alexander family, along with her nieces, nephews and special friend Lauralee Sawyer.
In faith, we trust that Dianne’s spirit is reunited with her husband, Ross Alexander (2016), her parents Joseph and Phyllis (née Barry) Burns, her step-father Angus Brown, brothers Larry Burns, Ken Burns and sister-in-law Dian Burns.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390). Honouring Dianne’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held, in the spring, at Egmondville Cemetery, Egmondville Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online donations and condolences can be made by visiting Dianne’s memorial at www.mcglynnfamilyfuneralhome.com
