Passed peacefully away on Sunday, June 10th, 2018 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL, Diane Helene Kettle (nee Short) at the age of 61 years. Born in Cape Ray, NL. Diane was predeceased by her father Emanuel Short; husband Albert Kettle; brother Henry Short; sister Loraine Short; father and mother-in-law Martin and Annie Kettle (nee Carter); brothers-in-law James Kettle, Ralph Kettle, and Tom Kettle.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her partner William Bryan; daughters Tanya Kettle (Pat); daughter Alisa Kettle; mother Bessie Short; sister Alisa Chard (Jeff); brothers Rodrick (Ada) Short all of Port aux Basques, NL, Wayne (Sheila) Short, Gordon Short (Lucille) both of PEI; two (2) grandchildren that she loved dearly Matthew and Carly; sisters-in-law Nancy (Harold) Blackmore of St. John’s, NL, Ethel (Paul) Blinkhorn of Halifax, NS, Natosha (Timothy) Romeo of Sydney, NS, Deborah Kettle (Brian) of Port aux Basques, NL, Margaret (Orrin) Scott of Lake Echo, NS; brothers-in-law Bronson (Harriet) Kettle of BC, Calvin Kettle of Port aux Basques, NL, Richard Maxwell Kettle of BC; her home support worker Mary Ellen Seaward plus many more family and friends
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11th from 7-9 pm continuing on Tuesday, June 12th from 10 am – 3 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. In keeping with Diane’s wishes, cremation will follow. The memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 13th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with interment to follow at St. James’s Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Diane’s memory can be made to the family.
