On April 26, 2018, Mr. Francis Desjarlais Sr. of Smoky Lake, formerly of Buffalo Lake, passed away at the age of 82 years. He is survived by 3 sons, Terry (Leona), Francis Jr. & Curtis; 3 daughters, Candice (Rodney), Cora (Leonard) & Amanda (Nehrudin); special sons, Tyler & Clay; 10 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Francis was predeceased by his wife, Clara in 1997; 8 brothers & 2 sisters. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, May 2 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Buffalo Lake Community Hall, Buffalo Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Buffalo Lake Community Hall, Buffalo Lake, with Reverend Father Paul officiating. Cremation will follow. If desired, donations may be made to Smoky Lake Healthcare Ladies Auxiliary Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
