Derrick’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the families of Derrick Norman Payne announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Pt, NL, on October 6th, 2018 at the age of 60 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Theresa Nee House of 41 years marriage his son; Gavin Payne, daughter; Nikita Anderson, his grandchildren; Samuel Caines, Keira & Serena Anderson, his siblings; Leonard (Valda) Payne , Greg (Marie) Payne, Rowena (Oscar) House, foster brother; Brian (Christine) Butt, brothers-in-law; Rendell (Madline) House, Claude (Patsy) House, & Harley (Florence) House, sisters-in-law; Laverne (Sandy) Campbell, & Marie (Jim) Shears. Derrick was predeceased by his parents; Alvina & Alexander Payne, and his mother & father-in-law; Emily and Grant House. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the Gospel Hall in Parsons Pond, NL, on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018 from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Wednesday, October 10th, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday, October 11th, at 2:00 pm, with officiating with the burial to follow at the Gospel Hall cemetery in Daniel’s Hr, NL.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and staff of the Bonne Bay Health Centre, and home care workers Cherlynn, Beverly, and Denise, thank you from the Family for the care and compassion you all have provided for Derrick
