Derek Dalton
DALTON, Derek Richard –
Passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Catherine and brother Kevin Dalton (Joan). He is survived by his brother John “Jack” Dalton (former wife Norma), nephews and nieces and their families.
A devoted, life-long educator and avid traveler, Derek will also be missed by many colleagues and friends from his years with numerous Catholic and Public school boards in Southern Ontario throughout his career. Most recently working with the Brant County and Halton Catholic school boards. As per his wishes, all services are private. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Derek’s memory to The Alzheimer Society of Ontario through Smith’s are greatly appreciated by the family.
