Denny Mason, age 86, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, July 4, 2018. Born in Mimico, Ontario, son of the late Charles Mason and the former Rose Staples. Denton is survived by his wife of 61 years Alecia (Kelly) Mason, six children; Clare Baliva (Ugo) of Mississauga, Delores McCallum (James) of Oakville, John Mason (Susan) of Toronto, Murray Mason (Paula) of Kitchener, Bernard Mason (Sherry) of Stratford and Larry Mason (Cathy) of Cambridge, nine grandchildren; Thomas, Alecia (Mikey), Michael (Samantha), Matthew, Samuel (Elysia), Joel, Elizabeth, Daniel and Caroline and by two great-grandchildren; Brooklyn and Makayla. Denton is also survived by his sisters-in-law Joanne Kelly, Marion Kelly and Mary Anne Kelly and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Richard (late Carroll) and his sister Diane (late Frank). Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, July 8 from 5 – 8 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 4:45 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception. A private interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Credit at a later date.
