Dennis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Edmonton.
Dennis is survived by his daughter Leah (Mohammad); grandsons: Mahmoud, Salman
and Ahmad, of Cairo, Egypt; son Jamie (Susie) of Sherwood Park; siblings: Gord (Rita), Dave (Colleen), Bonny (Rod), Penny (Gerry); brother-in-law Brad Montague (Gloria), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was blessed with many good friends, particularly Don and Barb Ast and family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Janice; parents, Floyd and Helen Spelliscy and in-laws, Pat and Blanche Montague.
Born in Regina, Dennis married Janice Montague. They moved to Edmonton in 1972. An electrician, Dennis was a partner in Stadium Electric. A kind and gentle man, Dennis will be very missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again, “bye for now”.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew Catholic Parish, 12810 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
The family thanks the staff of unit 43 at Grey Nuns Hospital for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care Unit #43 at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton.
