Obituary of Delores Miller
It is with great sadness that our family announce the sudden passing of wife, mom and grandma on January 25, 2018. Mom passed away peacefully in Moose Jaw with her daughters by her side. She was born in Moose Jaw on June 25, 1936 to Lyall and Mary McBride. She attended Polytechnical School and worked as a legal stenographer. Delores met Alvin Ronald Miller at Young People’s group at St. Andrew’s United Church in Moose Jaw. They were married in 1956 at St. Andrew’s. Delores was a proud, strong woman, hard worker and she helped put Alvin through Undergrad school for Pharmacy. Together they raised two daughters and they were her pride and joy. Family was always important to her and she dearly loved her four grandchildren. She also loved helping and raising many cats and dogs throughout her life. Delores was predeceased by her sisters Iris and Anne, and her brother Ramon as well as her parents Lyall and Mary. Delores is survived by her husband Alvin; her children Sandy (Lane & Celine) Miller and Dana (Keith) Hamilton; her grandchildren Tori Miller, Shayna (Ryan) Hamilton, Kyla (Colton) Hamilton, and Randy Hamilton. A private family memorial will be held in May to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers please donate to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9 or to your local Humane Society. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring Doctors Niaz, Hetherington and Caruso, as well as all of the amazing nurses and staff at the hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, SK.
