Obituary of David Ross
David’s family is saddened by the passing of David on January 17, 2018, at the Aberdeen Hospital, in his 75th year. David was the son of the late Bert and Catherine Ross of Plainfield. He is survived by his siblings, Isabel, John and Milton; and several nephews and nieces. He was married to Avis (Veniot) of Pictou. David operated the family farm at Plainfield for a number of years, making many improvements to farm buildings and equipment. Following the sale of the farm, and in spite of ongoing health issues, David used his skills in several occupations including welding from his home base in Plainfield and at the Trenton rail car works as well as building new homes at Scotsburn, Pictou and Plainfield over the years. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Any donations in David’s memory may be made to The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
