ERWIN, David
On Monday, November 5, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 83rd year with his loving family by his side. David was a devoted and caring husband and is survived by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Carole, loving children Ross (Sharon) and Jill Robertson (Paul) and grandchildren Mark Robertson and Daryl (Dayna), Jamie (Laura) and Holly (Josh) Erwin and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his mother Hilda Massey Ewing, sister Doreen (Erwin) Johnstone and brother Arthur. Born in Vancouver, David was a graduate of the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Mechanical Engineering and worked 37 years GE Canada in Peterborough in Nuclear Fuel Handling. He and Carole were avid sailors and longtime members of the Peterborough Sailing Club. He was also an active blood donor for over 50 years. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at PRHC Palliative Care Unit. There will be a visitation and celebration of David’s life at the Ashburnham Funeral Home and Reception Centre (840 Armour Road, Peterborough) on Friday November 16th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at PRHC, Five Counties Children’s Centre or a charity of your choice.
