David George Roberts
1937-2018
TARGETTVILLE, NB – David Roberts 80, of
Targettville passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital,
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born in
McAdam, he was the son of the late Kelly Roberts and late Violet
(Roberts) Roberts. Before retiring he was a woodsman and
farmer.
David will be sadly missed by his daughter, Angeline Forbes
(Derek) of Targettville and two granddaughters, Alexandrea (Drea) and
Brianna (Bri) Forbes and his beloved dogs, Peanut and
Janey.
He is also survived by four sisters, Evelyn Thompson (late
Earl), Vivian Scott (Glenn) both of Bass River, Mary Allen (Ray),
Beverley Fraser (late Willie) both of Fredericton; two brothers, Louie
Roberts (Cathy) of Fords Mills, Frederick Roberts (Esther) of
Fredericton; sister-in-law, Isabell Roberts of Bass River and many
nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Rita (Cail) Roberts ; one
sister, Helen and three brothers, James, Walter and
Richard.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Monday from 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will
be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s
Anglican Church, Brown’s Yard officiated by the Rev.
Christopher Ketch. A reception will follow at the church
hall. Donations in David’s memory may be made to
the St. Paul’s Anglican Church or the SPCA would be
appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
