OBITUARY
Mr. David George Davies
12 July , 1924 – 20 May , 2018
David George Davies, 93, of White Rock, British Columbia passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Morgan Heights Care Facility.
Born in Tonypandy, Wales to George and Irene Davies he moved to Canada in 1929 at age 4. He is survived by daughters Valerie (Bob), Janice (D’Arcy), Barbara (Jim); grandchildren Michael (Natalie), Ryan (Alice), Aaron (Jamie), Jenna (Justin); great grandchildren Rylie, Leah, Taylor and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jean, brother Jerry and faithful companion “Bubbles” his cocker spaniel.
David retired from David L. Jones Wholesale after 25 years and in his spare time enjoyed travelling to exotic destinations, gardening and reading.
After Jean passed away his constant companion Bubbles was always found by his side.
He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, impeccable style and ability to tell a very funny story.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Morgan Heights for taking such great care of David this past year.
Funeral services will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby, on June 8, 2018 at 11:00AM. Interment in Ocean View Burial Park and reception to follow. A visitation will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home on June 7, 2018 at 6:00PM.
