Obituary of Cyril Moores
Passed peacefully away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, Albert Cyril Moores at his home in Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 62 years of age. He is predeceased by his daughter, Myra Lynn (1981), his father, Edward A. Moores (1990), his brothers, Winston (1996) and Caywood (2002), his paternal grandparents, Philemon and Gladys Moores, his maternal grandparents, Caleb and Edith Smith, his sisters-in-law Irene Moores (2007), and Michelle Moores (2017). Left to mourn with loving and precious memories his daughter, Melanie Nyholt and grandsons, Hunter and Holden, his son, Michael (Taylor) Moores and granddaughter, Myra. Also leaving to mourn his mother, Viola Moores, his siblings, Gerald (Sylvia) Moores, Thelma (Dominic) O’Dea, Jack Moores (Jane Coughlin), Boyde Moores (Brenda Jewer-Snow), Don Moores (Valerie Finlay), Joyce Moores, Bob Moores, Ross (Cindy) Moores, Janice (Kevin) Butler, Ruby Blundon (Don Morries), Linda (Chris) Blackmore, and Tom (Erica) Moores, sister-in-law Shirley Bouzane and special niece Annah Marie Moores, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and friends. Pastor Robert Parsons will conduct the funeral service from Windsor Pentecostal Church on Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at 2pm. As per his wishes, following the service, Albert will be cremated and his remains will be laid to rest with those of his daughter, Myra Lynn Moores at the Woodlands Cemetery in Elliot Lake, ON. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers are brothers, Tom, Ross, Bob, Don, Boyde and Jack. Honorary pallbearer, brother Gerald.
The family would like to thank all of those who helped alleviate their pain and sorrow in any way during this difficult time. A very special thank you to Dr. Lush and Dr. House at the Cancer Clinic in Grand Falls-Windsor. As well as nurses Ruth Wells and Cathy Snow at Continuing Care.
