Cynthia “Cyd” passed on Sunday May 6 in Jasper
Cynthia loved life, people, fabric, colour, sunflowers, Springsteen and waking up to the call of a loon. She expected good things to happen “just believe and they will”.
The celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held on May 26 at 2pm at the Jasper Catholic Church. A reception with be held in an adjacent room immediately after the celebration. If you have a Quilt by Cynthia please bring it and contact Louise at lcbjasper@telus.net, 780-852-5685
A social gathering will be held at the Jasper Legion at 5:30 P.M.
Cynthia, Mike and our families would like to express our deep gratitude to the wonderful people at Jasper Seton and Hinton Hospitals, the Cross Cancer Centre and all of our extended family in Jasper for their love and caring and for helping us through this journey. We would also like to thank Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for hosting, and Reverend Keith Marsh for taking the service for Nancy Monteith.
Cynthia asked that any donations be directed to:
Sorrentino’s Compassion House, Edmonton – a house for woman being treated in the city,
Jasper-Yellowhead Museum and Archives,
Canadian Blood Services
She also asks if possible for people to donate blood, it helped her so much.
As Cynthia once wrote in a poem:
Above all, remember: friends are priceless.
The memories we’ve made
will last an eternity even
if distance or fate should
come between us.
