Passed away in Lions Head on Tuesday March 6, 2018, the Former Mildred Gardner, in her 97th year.
Beloved wife of the late Stan Cornfield, loved mother of Doug (Frances) and Garry (Barb). Loving grandmother of Chris (Shelley), Gayle (Dale), David (Nikki) and Faye (Matt). Sadly missed by eight great-grandchildren; Matt and Derrick, Curtis and Jordan, Josh and Ryan, Finn and William.
Predeceased by two sisters; Ruth and Florence and two brothers; Lorne and John.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 10 at 1:00pm at St. James Fairmount Church (196759 Grey Rd. 7, Grey Highlands), with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations to St James Fairmount church would be appreciated.
Mildred was the daughter of Isaiah and Amelia Gardner. She was born, raised and farmed at Rocklyn. In 1940 Mildred married Stan and had two boys Doug and Garry, In 1971 Stan and Mildred moved to Meaford. Stan passed away in 1977. Mildred stayed in her house until she moved into an apartment on Sykes street in 2007. Mildred stayed there until December 12, 2017 at which time she made the move to Golden Dawn Nursing Home in Lions Head.
