OBITUARY
Concetta Museo
January 27, 1938 – June 1, 2018
In loving memory we announce the passing of our mother Concetta (Connie) Maria Museo (nee DiFelice) on June 1st, 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Connie was born in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, L’Aquila, Italy on January 27th, 1938. She immigrated to Calgary, Alberta at age16, and three years later married Dario Museo in 1958. They moved to Vancouver, B.C, and continued their married life there together.
Connie worked at Sealy Mattress Company and later enjoyed managing properties with her husband, Dario. She took great pride in being a homemaker and hosting family dinners. She loved animals, was a wonderful cook, and had an amazing green thumb. She loved music of all kinds and was often found listening and dancing enthusiastically to it. Connie will be remembered for her courage, strength, and strong work ethic throughout her life. She was gifted with great creativity and the ability to make something out of nothing. Her family was her greatest joy.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Ann Marie (Larry), and Lisa, and grandchildren, Kelsey (Mauro), Shanelle, Laura and Kevin, and great grandson, Tobias (Kelsey). She is also survived by her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bruna and Joseph Audia of Courtenay, B.C., Rina and Howard King and Susie and Perry Zeiler of Calgary, Alberta. Connie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada, Italy and the U.S.A. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Dario in 2015.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of Connie’s caregivers, including Marta Doktorska and her team of caregivers from West Coast Care On Call, and also for the wonderful care provided by the many dedicated caregivers at Villa Carital in Vancouver. There will be a private family service and internment at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C. (alzheimer.ca/en/bc).
