LASAGA, Cindy Marie- Eastern Passage-It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cindy Marie (Mattie) Lasaga on July 4, 2018 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS on March 21st, 1963 she was 55 years old. Cindy had a passion for life, looking forward to retirement and all that life had to offer. Those who know her will remember her joyful smile and endless generosity to everyone. Our hearts are shattered.
She was the daughter of the late Reta and Alphonse Mattie. She is survived by her loving husband, Perry, her childhood sweetheart and love of her life. Daughter Tara (Kris); sons Teddy and Barry. Sisters Debbie (Wayne) MacLean, Susan Newcombe, Donna Mattie Benoit, Laurren (Michael) Monk, Lynn (Glen) Murphy. Brothers Bernie Mattie and Ricky (Bev) Mattie. Mother-in-law Mary Lasaga; sister-in-law Judy Lasaga, Debbie (Shawn) Cole and brother-in-law Timmy (Sandra) Lasaga as well as many beloved aunts, uncles; nieces and nephews. Cindy cherished time spent with her husband and children who were her world. To those who were so fortunate to have her in their life she was mother to all, she would do anything for anybody and loved her family and friends unconditionally. Cindy worked with MilAero Electronics Atlantic Ltd. for many years upon her passing. She leaves behind to mourn her family, many friends and coworkers. Words cannot express the pain in our hearts.
Memorial visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday July 9, 2018 in Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundations, Cancer Care Society or a charity of choice.
