Sylliboy, Christopher « Diggy », age 43, of Paqtnkek
Mikmaw Nation passed away at the QE II Health Services Centre on
December 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and
friends.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Stephen
« Dio » Simon and Anne Sylliboy.
Diggy will be remembered for putting a smile on
everyone’s face over the 13 years he worked at Paqtnkek Gas
Bar. He enjoyed reading Stephen King, doing crosswords, and was a big
Star Trek fan. He loved his dog,
Wa’pi’got.
He is survived by his sister, Virginia (Manny) Sylliboy,
Paqtnkek; Peter Charles (Brenda) Julian, Paqtnkek; Kelly Julian;
Sipekanekatik; Janine (Mike) Simon, Halifax; Amanda Simon, Eskasoni;
Jimmy Marshall, Eskasoni; 12 nieces and nephews; three godchildren,
Janissa Sylliboy, Timika Kabatay, and Alayna Simon.
Visitation will be held Thursday after 5:00pm at the home of
Cheyenne Julian, 1688 Afton Road. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday
at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, Reverend
Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in St. Anne’s Cemetery,
Summerside Road.
Donations may be
made to the N.S. Heart & Stroke Association.
