Charlotte C. « Peggy » Pitt
1921-2018
The death of Charlotte C. « Peggy » (Coombes) Pitt
occurred in Fredericton on October 9, 2018. Born in North Devon, NB,
on February 11, 1921, she was the daughter on the late Arthur W. and
Alice (Kirby) Coombes, as well as step-daughter to the late Bonnie
Sewell (Cowan) Coombes.
In addition to her parents and step-mother, Peggy is
predeceased by her husband Douglas W. Pitt; brothers Kirby, David and
Robert as well as a sister Edith Aspden.
Survived by a daughter Alice Pitt of Toronto, ON; son Andrew
Pitt (Brenda) of Spencerville, ON; step-son Peter Pitt (Loraine) of
Saint John, NB, as well as several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Special thanks to Staff at Brunswick Hall for making a lovely
home and to the staff at Oromocto Public Hospital for their
extraordinary care of Peggy. Please remember Peggy in a way that is
meaningful to you.
By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service
will be held at St. Anne’s Chapel of Ease on Friday, October
12, 2018 at 11 am with the Ven. Wandlyn Snelgrove
officiating.
