Peacefully on Thursday March 22, 2018 Cecil McKay passed away at the Grace Hospital with his Family by his side.
Cecil is predeceased by his parents James and Nina McKay, Brothers Alexander McKay, Arnie McKay,Elias McKay and sister Doris Orvis .Cecil leaves to mourn his Partner of 38 years Alma Green his brother William(Catherine). Cecil will be sadly missed by his daughter Theresa McKay (Ron) stepdaughters Shirley Young and Imelda Hamilton(Roddy) Grandchildren Dinah, Megan, Janine,Jolene,Charlene,Blanche,Colton, Richard, Tyler . Errol AKA big E and Howard and so many nieces,nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren that will sadly miss him
Cecil enjoyed fishing, trapping, and spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face and was the Bingo King of Winnipeg. He was funny and had a profound sense of humor and was always happy to talk to friends and family. He will be sadly missed by many who knew him.The Young / Green Family excepted Cecil as their stepfather and Theresa as their sister
The Family of Cecil McKay would like to thank the Doctors and nurses from Grace Hospital for making him comfortable in his last hours on earth.The Family would also like to thank the staff from Saul & Claribel Simkin nursing home for taking care and watching over him.
Wake services will be held on Monday March 26, 2018 at 7:30 pm to 12:00 midnight at Eternal Grace Funeral Chapel 1111 Logan Avenue at McPhillips Wake services will continue Tuesday March 27,2018 and Wednesday March 28,2018 at Berens River Church on the Rock at 7:30 pm nightly .Funeral will be on Thursday March 29,2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Riley Bear officiating Internment at Berens River
Pallbearers will be Brendon Orvis Sr, Randall Fisher, Howard Hamilton, Peter McKay, Colton McKay and Michael McKay. Honorary Pallbearers will be his children, nieces, nephews and the rest of his family .
