Cassidy, Catherine, passed away suddenly after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family at the Southampton Hospital on Wednesday July 11, 2018. Catherine Anne Cassidy (nee Prohaszka) at the age of 53. Loving wife of Curtis Cassidy. Proud mother of Conor and Carsyn. Dear sister of Mary Townley, Dan (Barb) Prohaszka, Tim (Debbie) Prohaszka, and Tom (Maria) Prohaszka. Catherine will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Peter & Betty, by her brother Mickey, and by her brother in law Ron Townley. Cathy was proud of the close family and friends that encircled her life. A casual gathering to Celebrate the Life of Cathy will be held at the Port Elgin Curling Club on Monday July 16, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. with light refreshments provided. An additional gathering will be held in Strathroy at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
