Catherine Marie Kidd
Cathy Marie Kidd (nee Ringman) of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly from St. John’s, NL passed peacefully away at home on May 31, 2018 at the age of 58 with family by her side. Despite the health challenges she faced in recent years, she died as she lived, passing peacefully away dispensing love, kindness, and humour until the end, surrounded and cared for tenderly by her family she loved so dearly. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Dave, daughter Amanda (Matt Williams), son Andrew (Alysha), her two adorable grandsons Declan and Liam. She is also remembered and sadly missed by her sisters Anita (John Cummings), Marina (Fred Walsh), her brother Peter, her brother in law William (Margaret), her nieces and nephews Sheena and Michael Owens, Matthew and Megan Cummings, Kelsey Kidd and Mark Bulka, Nolan, Paul, and Ryan Bugnet. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Louise Ringman, parents in law Albert and Isabel Kidd, her brother in laws Thomas Kidd, Daniel Kidd, Christian Kidd, Paul Bugnet and sister in law Sheila Bugnet.
A special thank you to the staff of the Cross Cancer Institute and the palliative home care team led by Dr. Barton for the professional care and compassion shown to Cathy (and her family) during her illness.
Sadly missed by a wide circle of childhood friends from St. John’s, friends in Edmonton and colleagues with CIBC.
Cathy will be cremated and there will be a service to celebrate her life at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Rd. Edmonton, AB. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th and a luncheon will follow at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy’s memory to the Cross Cancer Institute.
