Mary passed away peacefully at the Grey Nuns Hospital surrounded by her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Frank (Claire), Patricia (Maurice) Bessette and Robert (Karen); grandchildren, Aaron, Jody, Shauna, Robert, Thomas, Kelley, Jennifer, Jeff, Kimberly, Craig and Eric; 23 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Harry and son, Jack.
Mom/Nanny/Nana was a loving mother and grandmother, and any opportunity to spend time with family was important to her. She loved cooking, baking, and canning, she loved to travel, she enjoyed playing bridge, she curled and golfed. But most of all she loved dad and all of us, and the life we shared. Her feisty, determined personality endeared her to anyone who knew her and we will miss her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi, 2707 34 St NW, Edmonton.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate nursing staff on unit 51 at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
