Obituary for Catherine Liddle (Burrows)
Catherine Anne Liddle (née Burrows), of Kincardine, passed away at Brucelea Haven, peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in her 85th year.
Loving wife of Norman Liddle.
Loving mother of Rob (Sandra), Stephen (Mollie), Paul (Rhonda), Mark and Geoffrey all of Kincardine.
Remembered by grandchildren Warren, Hannah (Brent), Jessica, James (Taylor), Bradley, Kiley (Jeremy), Josh (Miranda), Jason (Jackie), Danyelle (Dave), Jordan (Julia), great-grandchildren Beau, Jake, Cayden, Keenan, Myla, Aaliyah and McKenna.
Missed by siblings Lea (Bob) Ashton of Port Elgin, Sharron (Dave) Chappel of Port Elgin, Ron (Barb) Burrows of Kincardine, sisters-in-law Millie Burrows of Elmira, Irene Fobert of Bobcaygeon and Carol Burrows of Kincardine.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Born the fifth of eleven children to Frank and Elfleda Burrows (née McPhail) in Kincardine on March 15, 1933, Catherine was a devoted mother, avid gardener and crafts maker. She championed her family in all endeavors and was a long-time member of the Anglican Church of the Messiah and the Bruce Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Catherine endured a difficult illness in her final years and, with her family, appreciated the magnificent care, dedication and teamwork of the staff at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton.
Catherine was predeceased by her parents Frank & Elfleda Burrows, brothers John, Bruce, Bill, Bob, Wayne, Clair, Donald and daughter-in-law Sue Liddle.
Visitation will take place at the Anglican Church of the Messiah on Saturday, December 9, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.. Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Gathering afterwards in the Parish Hall.
Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or the Anglican Church of the Messiah (Building Fund) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
