WHALEN, Carys Patricia Catherine – age 11 of Lower Sackville, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born in Halifax on March 8, 2006. Carys was a Daddy’s girl who loved music, swimming, skating, art, and movies, but most of all she loved her family. She is the daughter of Gary and Paula Whalen, and Julie Beaton (Breton Doyle); granddaughter of Patricia (Marven) Hart, Rick (Valerie) Whalen, Marie (Eunice) Wilton, Stanley (Lucy) Barnes, Catherine (Alphonse) Beaton; sister of Alexandrea (Brandon), Nicholas, Brooke, Victoria, Hannah and Daniel; niece of Michelle and Stacey Barnes, Mike (Amy) Whalen, Trent Hart, Blair (Lacey) Barnes, Pauline (Malcolm) Barnes, Lee (Beckie) Mannette, Roxanne (Micah) MacDonald, Joey DeWolfe, Bradley (Danielle) White, Todd White, Sherry (Larry) Barnes, Carrie (Ben) Futral, Jennifer (Chris) Beaton. Carys had numerous cousins and friends who adored her. Carys was full of life, she was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, March 9 from 7-9 pm, service on Saturday, March 10 at 1 pm, with reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
