Carolyn Jane Heggie
It is with profound sadness that the family of Carolyn Jane Heggie announce her sudden passing due to cardiac arrest in Toronto on December 30, 2017 at age 34.
Carolyn is survived by her parents Jane & Bruce Heggie, twin brother Drew, (Jennifer White) Charlottetown, sister & brother-in-law, Jana & Nick Crowe, 2 very special nieces Elyse and Norah, Sackville and boyfriend Chris Clarry, Toronto.
Carolyn graduated from Sackville High (2001), Mount St Vincent (2006) and earned her Culinary Certificate at George Brown (2016) in Toronto. She participated in many activities throughout her school years including track, skating and skiing. She enjoyed reading, music, beach life at the cottage on PEI, and spending time with friends.
We will remember Carolyn for her beautiful smile, the love she had for her family, her love of animals, music, cooking and her fondness for special treats from the Maritimes, including donairs, lobster, and clam chowder.
Carolyn was predeceased by her grandparents, Sheila & Gordon Williams, Grace & Jim Heggie and devoted aunt, Susan Williams. She spent many happy summers at the cottage on Prince Edward Island, a place that she held close to her heart.
Carolyn fought a long courageous battle with mental illness and the complications that arose as a result and which ultimately took her from us much too soon.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 12, between 7- 9 p.m. at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. A memorial service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow.
