Carol Joan Boyle
1942-2018
Boyle, Carol Joan (Murphy). It is with sadness that we
announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, sister and aunt. She passed away peacefully at home in
Antigonish on December 8, 2018. Born in New Glasgow on September 13,
1942 she was the daughter of the late James Michael and Mary Isabel
(McCarron) Murphy. She was employed at Antigonish Regional High School
and School Board as secretary for many years.
She is survived by children Kevin Francis (Lucy Mae), Croft;
Carol Ann, L’Arche, Antigonish; Angus Michael (Kelly), New
France; Paula Michelle (Don) Drysdale, Vancouver BC; and James Kenneth
(Anita), Miramichi NB: Grandchildren Colin, Alex, Jake, Brett,
Charlie, Ellen, Katie, Samantha, Andrew and Riley: Great grandchildren
Mika, CJ, Cory, Lexie, Lilian, Maria, Fox, Charlotte and Ruby Lou and
many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by brothers Kevin (Greta), Edmonton AB,
Brian (Helen) Edmonton, AB, and sisters Helen Gerrior, New Glasgow,
Aileen (Simon) Pitts, New Glasgow, Patricia (Rick) Muzyk, Ingramport,
NS; sisters- in- Law, Carmella Murphy, Moncton NB, Anne Marie Murphy,
Halifax, Christene (Nina) Flynn Cloverville, Patsy, Pictou, Jean
(Wayne) Cole Liverpool, Mary (Chris Mac Donald) Toronto; and
brothers-in-law Dan J. Antigonish and George (Shirley), Caledonia
Mills.
As well as her parents, Carol was predeceased by brothers
Gary and James Murphy; In-Laws Catherine, Collie, Angus, and Billy
Boyle, Anne Gerrior and Greg Flynn and several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation and funeral mass is scheduled to be held in
January and will be announced at a later date. Donations in her memory
