Obituary for Carl Ostrynik
OSTRYNIK, Carl— (Veteran WWII, where he served overseas)
Passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Carl Ostrynik, in his 96th year, was the beloved husband of Sharon Lehmann of Guelph and the late Marjorie (nee Magas) Ostrynik (1986). He was the loving father Larry and his wife Beth of League City, Texas, Donna and her husband Doug Gilbert, Robert, Delores Taylor and Paul, all of Guelph. Carl was the proud grandfather of Craig, Monique, Shawn, Tina, Steven, Adam and the late Michael (1997) and great-grandfather of Hadley, Audrey, Sebastian, Simon, Cohen, Marty, Shannon, Reese, Abigail and Natalie. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by his brother Frank, his sisters Nellie and Stella.
Private cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Carl will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 234, 57 Watson Pkwy. S., Guelph at 1 p.m. Donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
