I, Veronica (nee Dolan) am so very saddened to announce that my beloved husband of fifty- six years died peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 78. He valiantly struggled with dementia for many years. His quick wit and humour will be missed dearly by our children Dan (Diane Givogue), Nancy (Marc Peterson) and Derek (Lisa Sattler) and our grandchildren Matthew, Cassandra, Payton, Brooklyn, Madison and step-grandchildren Nicholas (Julia) and Sarah. He was predeceased by our beautiful daughter Susan.
He was the son of the late Michael and late Edna (nee Trudeau) Young. He will be missed by his three brothers, Elwin (late Myra), Regis (Betsy) and Clifford (Vicki) and his sister Nora Graham (late Jim).
Sincere thanks to the staff at Centre Renaissance who took great care of him in his final year.
Friends may pay respect at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 47 Denise-Friend, Gatineau (Aylmer), on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 212, ch. Old Chelsea, Chelsea. You are welcome to make a donation in his memory to St. Stephen’s Church restoration project or Centre Renaissance.
