Campbell Wayne Hillman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dedicated soldier and a man of service on November 20, 2018. Reunited with his loving wife, Trudy (nee Tranter) (November 6, 2015). Loving father of Scott (Amanda), and Stacey (Chris) Brown. Cherished Papa of Caitlyn, Devin, Jenna and Riley. Great Papa of baby Myah on her way. He had a special bond with Russell and Sam Green, Abbie and Addy Gimmer and Denise Hillman. Predeceased by his parents Cameron and Adrice Hillman. Brother of Cameron (late Theresa), Gail (Don) Rodzik, Audrey Beckett, the late Sinclair, the late Barry (surviving wife Deanna) and the late Betty (Adam) Zimmerman. Loved by sisters in law Nancy (Drew) Simpson, Bette (Perry) Hogan and predeceased by brother-in-law Robert Tranter. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews and his furry friends Molly and Buster. Wayne retired from Chrysler Canada. He served with the American Army 101st Airborne Paratroopers in the Vietnam War. Following his dedication, he was greatly involved with the Windsor Vietnam Vets and the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee where he for many years, honoured his fellow Veterans. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee with be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will follow. In memory of Wayne, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee or to Hospice of Windsor. Cherished memories may be left at www.windsorchapel.com
