Calvin « Cal » Neil Lomas
Lomas, Calvin “Cal” Neil, age 82, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018, after a brief illness, in the Dartmouth General Hospital, with his daughter by his side.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Boutilier) Lomas.
Cal worked as an electronics technician for 30 years, a member of the IBEW, mainly working on Coast Guard ships. In retirement, he enjoyed reading, and creating balsa wood ornaments.
Cal is survived by his daughter Heather, of Dartmouth; and two nieces.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Ena (Upham); brothers, Jack, Gregory, and Robert who died in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday March 13, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth followed by a reception. A private family interment to take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
