Calla Ashley Marie Foster
November 2, 1990 – June 9, 2018
“Bruised but never broken”
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Calla Ashley Marie Foster, who was taken from us far too soon on June 9, 2018. She is survived by her children Kayden, Aleah, Ryder, Lyric and Goku, Her mother Becky Foster (Glen), her father Steven Chabauty, her siblings Chris, Coty and Journey, her niece Kylie, grandparents Isabel Wahl and Lois Hawkins along with her auntie Tammy(nee Foster) and Danny Stolwyk, Corissa, Ashley, Brandie and Danielle. Uncle James Foster (Deborah), auntie Sandra Stolwyk, Hayley and Destiny. Uncle JP(Sharon), Donna, Adrian, Amanda, Andrea, Junior, Brennan and numerous great aunt, uncles and friends.
She was predeceased by her great-grandma Lilian Ezabal (nee Ateah) Wahl and May Hawkins.
Calla was born on November 2nd 1990 at the Women’s hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At a young age it was evident that Calla had a huge heart and was always helping others. She carried these traits into adulthood being known as the friend to turn to as she was always willing to help. You couldn’t help but laugh when with Calla, her smile and laughter filled the room. Her tell it how it is humour had everyone laughing until their stomachs hurt. Calla’s biggest accomplishment and proudest moment was becoming a mother. Her babies were her everything, there is nothing she loved more. Since becoming a mother Calla finished her schooling and had dreams of going to school and becoming a social worker. She strived to create a beautiful life for her family. Calla loved her family and friends and was always there to brighten the lives of others.
There will be an open viewing for family Monday, June 18th from 3:00-4:00pm.
Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 19th at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Rev. Janet Walker will officiate. Reception will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, 1613 Logan Avenue on June 19 at 2:30 pm.
Burial will be Wednesday June 20th, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Thomson In the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
