C. Leroy Maskell
1945-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Carleton Leroy Maskell of
Beechwood announce his death which occurred on Wednesday, July 11,
2018. Leroy passed quietly at his home in Beechwood with his loving
wife by his side. Born December 31, 1945 in Bath, he was the son of
the late Kenneth and Bridgett (O’Flynn) Maskell.
Leroy will be remember by his wife of 35 years, Brenda
« Boo »; his 2 daughters, Crystal Bruce (Charles) and
Catherine Blaney (Michael); his 4 grandsons, Dillon, Lucas, Mathew and
Tyler. He will fondly be remembered by his sister, Patricia Allison
(David); his 3 brothers, Daniel Maskell (Margaret), Vaughn Maskell and
Ken Paul Maskell (Sandra) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Leroy graduated from Bath Regional High School in 1964. He worked for
a brief period in Toronto before returning home to work for McCain
Foods. He retired in 2005 as Director of Packaging. During this time,
he also served many years with the Bath Lions Club.
A dedicated outdoorsmen, Leroy spent years working as a guide
throughout New Brunswick, fishing with family and friends as well as
working in his beloved vegetable garden.
He will be missed at the kitchen table where he spent many hours
discussing everything from philosophy to the location of the Giberson
Gold.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 4-7 pm from L.R.
Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol. A
funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 12:00 pm
from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. The interment will be in the
Johnville Cemetery. Donations made to the Bath Lions Medical Travel
