Obituary of « Bud » Harold Markham
Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Bud loved his sports, enjoying baseball, curling, and especially fishing and hockey, both playing and as a lifelong Habs fan. Bud always dreamed of owning a boat and the day the boat was delivered is a wonderful memory in the family’s mind, with many happy hours spent in the boat fishing as a family. He loved music, especially classic rock ‘n’ roll, Motown, soul and blues. He had a sharp sense of humour and could liven up any party by sharing stories from his days of living in Bush Camp. Bud loved to laugh and make others laugh. He always made events he attended fun, adding his own style of entertainment and wisdom. Bud will always be loved and remembered by his wife of 40 years Linda (nee Dolmage), his son Tyler, mother and father-in-law Ed & Jean Dolmage, brothers-in-law Rick Dolmage (Karen) and Bruce Dolmage (Tammy), and sister-in-law Anne Kelly (Francis). He will be missed by his nieces Mallory Fraser and Melinda Patay, nephews Dean, Cole and Jackson Kelly, Sam, Brent, Kevin and Phil Dolmage, Alan Charlton and Brian Bulley, the extended Dolmage family and many close friends made throughout his working career all over Ontario. Linda hopes Bud has been reunited with their beloved family pets Ginger, Mukluk and Worf, whom he missed greatly. Bud is predeceased by his parents Pete and Eva, his sisters Hazel Charlton and Marilyn Bulley (Ted), and wonderful close family friend Megan Enders. Arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. Cremation has taken place. At the family’s request, Bud will be laid to rest in one of his favourite places in the spring at a private gathering. As a fitting tribute to Bud, the family asks that you enjoy the outdoors and all that Ontario has to offer, and always remember to “drive your own truck.”
