Bud (Clarence) LaCroix
Passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on March 28, 2018 at Victoria Hospital, London after a valiant battle. Reunited with his “one and only” Olga (2007), son John (1949) and daughter Carol (2009). Dear father of Tom (Shirley) and Mary. Grandfather of Lisa, Jacqueline, Brian and Sophie. Great grandfather of Liam. Dearly loved brother-in-law and uncle to the Shasky family. Bud was a proud Air Force Veteran of WWII. He worked at the General Motors transmission plant in Windsor for over 40 years where he was liked and respected by all – he was everyone’s “bud”. Bud was known for his sharp mind, generous nature, and special sense of humour. Bud took care of and touched many people throughout his life. Special thanks goes out to the caregivers of Home Instead in London who cared for him in his home like family.
Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home (519-728-1500) 572 Notre Dame Street, Belle River on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 3 – 5 and 7-9 p.m., with parish prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue at Good Shepherd Parish, 462 Advance Blvd, Tecumseh on Friday, April 7, 2018 from 10:30 until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Williams Cemetery, Emeryville. Donations to Elder Abuse Ontario would be appreciated.
