Bruno Giro
It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bruno Giro at his home in Grimsby, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 7, 2018, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Antonietta (nee Sgambato). Loved father of Albino Giro (Maria) and Palmira Giro-Norton (Bill). Most proud and loving Nonno of Anthony, Marcus, Nathan, Stefan and Bella. Survived by his loving sibling’s Maria (late Felice) Evangelista, Carmine & Lucia Giro, Giuseppina & Mario Picariello, Maria (late Fernando) Loffredo, Sylvestro & Carmela Sgambato. Reunited with his parents Albino and Palmira Giro, inlaws Salvatore and Teresa Sgambato, and siblings Oreste & Rosa Giro, Antonia & Vincenzo Della Pia and Albino Sgambato. Adored and missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his doctors, Dr Smith of 45 years, Dr. Chiew and Dr Lagrotteria and all the nurses, especially Sandy & Will, for their exceptional care and compassion. He will greatly be missed by all family and friends who knew him. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family if desired.
